Dog boarding can be likened to a hotel or resort stay for your pet while you and your family are out of town. Dog parents usually choose to board their furry family members when taking extended trips where it would be difficult to accommodate pets. Skagit Canine Club provides a staycation for your furry loved ones, caring for all their basic needs and providing them with plenty of attention and play while you’re away.

You can pick up your pet(s) early, however we do not give a credit for early pick up. If you do want to pick up early please call, text or email to change your reservation time. Please make sure you get a confirmation response before coming to pick up your pet.

We can! We just ask that the medication is properly labeled with the current dose for your pet and if you do not have a current prescription bottle that you supply us with a copy of the prescription. We do not give injections. We have the right to refuse pets that require care outside our expertise, if we do not feel comfortable caring for your pet, we won't. Safety is our 100% priority.

The dogs are usually fed twice a day, but some owners may feed their pets 3 times a day, or free feed and we can happily accommodate special requests in case your pet has a different schedule.

When boarding we ask that you please prepare each meal’s serving size in a separate baggie labeled with your cat or dog's name for each day of your dog’s stay, and please include any treats you'd like them to have.

We have a fridge, freezer and microwave available to prep food. SCC can provide a tummy-friendly food in case of a shortage for an added $2/meal charge.

We ask that you only bring an old t-shirt or towel that smells like your home. Please leave irreplaceable items at home. Please bring your pet's usual food so they seamlessly adjust to their stay, this lowers the opportunity for an upset stomach. Please provide their food for every day of your dog's stay in a clearly labeled ziploc bag or a container with a lid.

Every cat’s day is tailored to their individual personality, routine, and comfort level. Some cats enjoy attention and playtime, while others prefer a quiet space to relax and observe.

Each morning, your cat receives fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and a wellness check from our team. We spend time making sure they are eating, drinking, using the litter box normally, and settling comfortably into their private suite.

Throughout the day, your cat can relax on their extra-large window sill, watch the horses and wildlife outside, enjoy their climbing areas, play with toys, or nap on the heated floor. Staff interaction, brushing, playtime, and affection are provided based on what your cat enjoys.

In the evening, we refresh food and water as needed, clean the litter box, complete another wellness check, and make sure your cat is comfortable and settled for the night.

You’ll also receive regular photo or video updates, so you can enjoy peace of mind while your cat enjoys a calm, private retreat.

✨ A Day in the Life of a Spoiled Pup at SCC ✨

🐾 5:00 AM – Rise and shine! Your pup wakes up in their private, cozy suite, complete with soft music and a smiling SCC team member ready to greet them.

🚶‍♂️ Morning Potty & Zoomies – A refreshing potty walk followed by laps in the arena to stretch those legs and shake off the wiggles.

🍽️ Breakfast Time – A delicious meal served just how they like it, followed by 1.5–2 hours of rest in their spacious indoor room with an attached extra-large private run.

🌲 Midday Adventures – Long walks through our 10 acres of wooded trails, arena zoomies, and plenty of one-on-one enrichment with their SCC family.

🍖 Dinner at 5 PM – A hearty meal after a day full of exercise, snuggles, and stimulation.

💤 Evening Routine – After another rest period, it’s time for a bedtime potty walk before tucking into their cozy suite at 8 PM. Sweet dreams guaranteed. 💛

Vaccines required for dogs: Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP. At Skagit Canine Club, the safety of our dogs comes first. We support individualized vaccination, flea, tick, and worming schedules as long as you are working with a veterinarian. We do not require yearly vaccinations if they have been determined to have long-term immunity or if there are health risks. If your dog goes to dog parks, we suggest staying current with yearly vaccinations. We require a current note from your veterinarian for each vaccine and do not accept titer tests for the rabies vaccine. Canine cough and flu vaccinations are up to the owner and their veterinarian. All vaccinations should be given at least 7 days before their stay at SCC or any stressful change in their life.

For the health and safety of every Cat Club guest, all cats must be current on the following vaccinations:

Rabies

FVRCP, which protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopenia.

Vaccination records from your veterinarian must be provided before check-in. Cats receiving their initial vaccines or updating an overdue FVRCP vaccine should complete vaccination at least 10 days before their stay.

The feline leukemia vaccine, or FeLV, is not required but is strongly recommended for kittens, outdoor cats and cats that may have contact with unfamiliar cats. Please discuss your cat’s individual vaccination needs with your veterinarian.

Cats must also arrive free of fleas, contagious illness and symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, unusual eye or nasal discharge, vomiting or diarrhea. Please contact us before arrival if your cat has recently been ill or has a medical reason that affects their vaccination schedule.

Proof of vaccinations uploaded into our system, 50% deposit required. Once your booking has been accepted you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation, please email or call us to check on your reservation.

Full refund will be given with a 48 hour notice. Notice must be given via email (info@skagitcanineclub.com and receive a confirmation email in response) phone call (360-202-2229) or cancelled via the customer portal.

48 hour notice for full refund, if we do not receive notice more than 48 hours in advance your deposit will be charged.

We offer a 10% discount for multiple dogs from the same household. Dogs need to be able to share a suite and enjoy mealtimes together without being monitored. For big dogs we can have 2 in the same suite- 1st dog $60/day 2nd dog $54/day. We only allow two dogs per suite at this time.

Keep in mind boarding can be a stressful situation for even the most laid-back pups. We wouldn't want siblings who get along wonderfully at home to start being food, toy or bed aggressive with each other due to being in a new and potentially stressful situation. If the dogs need to be split up during their stay for their safety or ours we will do that and you will be charged the $60/day per dog.

Yes! Up to two cats from the same household may share one private suite, as long as they are comfortable staying together.

The first cat is charged the regular nightly rate, and the second cat is just $10 per night.

For their safety and comfort, we allow a maximum of two cats per suite.

Our luxury suites are a spacious 12'x6' fully contained so there is no cross-contamination, temperature controlled. Orthopedic raised beds with fluffy blankets, secured S/S holder for food and water available at all times, sanitized daily.

We do accept intact female and male dogs. If your dog comes into heat during their stay there will be an added $25/day fee due to the extra care and cleaning.

Dogs showing signs of illness/potentially contagious disease will not be admitted. Example: diarrhea, coughing, nasal discharge, and eye inflammation/ discharge. If your dog starts to show any of these signs while in our care, they will be moved to our quarantine suite and your vet will be notified.

Trial overnights are recommended/required if you are unsure if your dog will do well at SCC for separation anxiety, possible aggression or other reasons. This allows everyone to determine if we are the right fit while the owners are available to pickup the pup. We also recommend speaking to your veterinarian about anti anxiety medications prior to your visit if this is something you are worried about.

When you get home, your dog may be excited and tired from their stay. They might need some time to readjust to their home environment. It's normal for dogs to sleep more than usual after boarding due to the excitement and activity during their stay. Make sure to provide them with plenty of water and a quiet space to rest.

Your cat’s health and comfort are always our priority. During each visit, our team monitors eating, drinking, litter box use, behavior, and overall comfort.

If your cat shows signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior, we will contact you or your designated emergency contact as soon as possible. Depending on the situation, we may recommend that your cat be picked up or arrange veterinary care with your approval.

If we believe your cat is experiencing a medical emergency and we cannot reach you, we will seek veterinary care immediately. Any veterinary, transportation, or related expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner.

Cats showing signs of a contagious illness before check-in—including vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, frequent sneezing, or unusual eye or nasal discharge—should remain home until cleared by a veterinarian.
